The Oral History Store
Where the latest generation meets the Greatest Generation

Aaron Elson began recording audio interviews with America's World War II veterans in 1987. Since then, while building an archive of more than 600 hours of interviews, he has experimented with the presentation of oral history. He wrote his first book, "Tanks for the Memories," in 1994, launched the World War II Oral History web site @ in 1997, and created a unique line of Oral History Audiobooks in the veterans' own voices. While the Oral History Store currently offers mostly his own work, it is hoped that the work of other oral historians will soon be available as well.
